I have zero problems with banning TikTok, even though I view our own governments attacks on Freedom of Speech as one of the biggest threats we're facing today.
There is no way we should be allowing foreign governments the ability to capture this data (and I'm probably naive to think the uS govt isn't tracking Facebook, and in the past, Twitter). What concerned me was the tactic that TT used to have their subscribers prodded to contact their representatives to protest any government actions on this.
I'm already uncomfortable with how far we've allowed our elections to move from one person voting for one day in person, let alone allowing a foreign government interfere with our elections.
Remember, China bans all US social media in their country.
