NYC Mayor says no masks in stores; health department disagrees
In an unexpected though perhaps not surprising turn of events, the NYC mayor and police want customers unmasked. NPR expressed concern because “the pandemic is still going” (says who?), it’s discriminatory against the immunocompromised (and apparently thieves) and “masks protect against Covid and other illness” (but not really according to the new Cochrane report, which the NYT reported but NPR doesn’t mention). Meanwhile, a masked man robbed four stores and killed a clerk.
