Elon's awkward interview makes the BBC squirm. (The way we like it.)
Also, in defense of Tucker. What say the Pentagon Papers? Plus, religion, porn, Bill Gates, 5G, and more!
Video: Is the media lying to you?
Elon Musk claims, “The state media operates as a propagandist machine.” If you missed Musk’s BBC interview last week, Russell Brand breaks it down, and boy oh boy, it’s a goodie. Brand says,
[The BBC reporter] hasn’t even brought a knife to a gun fight. He’s brought an ice cream.
Watch the clip at the 7:25 min. mark above, or the full hour interview.
Brand’s video, which is 19 minutes of good fun, also discusses the 21-year-old “Mikey Mouse whistleblower” who released the “Pentagon Papers.” Brand dissects mainstream media’s reporting of the event and concludes the MSM is only interested in getting their hands on the young guy and doubling down on censorship rather than reading the Pentagon Papers and reporting what they are about.
What are the Pentagon Papers about? Brand goes over this in detail. We already know some stuff, but get your confetti ready, there are surprises.

Podcast: A refreshing (and lately rare) defense of free speech by a liberal
Brookings Institute’s Jonathan Rauch, a man of liberal leanings, chats with Glenn Loury on why cancellation is so wrongheaded. In his view, the MAGA crowd and the woke have much in common when it comes to debasing speech and free exchange.

Alan Dershowitz: why Newsmax has a stronger case than Fox
The Fox decision to settle is incomprehensible — and may hurt the First Amendment.
Dershowitz opines why the payout ($787.5 million) was so huge:
Something else must have been at play — and part of the reason for the settlement is almost certainly to prevent the public from learning the actual reason why Fox settled.

Instagram: In defense of Tucker
Freddy Gray at UK’s The Spectator notes that The Tucker Carlson Show was “easily the most interesting news show on American television." He goes on to say,
The irony is that, unlike other voices on Fox, Carlson never actually went all in on the crazier conspiracy theories about election rigging in 2020. But media titans tend not to care too much about who was right and wrong when their empires are suffering.
Here is another analysis of Tucker from the libertarian paper, Reason.
And (pardon me, Hecklers Jennifer on the soapbox for a moment), we know many of you loathe Tucker (or at least you are sure that you must loathe Tucker because of what you know about him, since let’s be real, you don’t actually watch Fox), but — to that point — have you spent time with Tucker? Like, ever just watched his whole show for say, one week? If you have (and I’m sure 1% of you have), you won’t agree with everything he says, but what you will discover and may even come to respect is that Tucker is not mainstream. Rather, he is a heckler. And there’s something to be said for hecklers! Tucker does not tow the party line — like Bernie, like Trump — and the media swamp doesn’t like that. So perhaps… (guessing here) Murdoch, a proud member of the elite, was just waiting for an opportunity to fire Tucker, and he found it.

5G rollout gets $1.5 billion Biden boost despite new evidence of ‘devastating’ health issues
Several studies show electromagnetic hypersensitivity syndrome develops for those living near 5G cell towers, but it is “almost forbidden” to discuss or publish about the health implications of 5G. I’d like to know if my insides have the potential of being microwaved, how bout y’all?
There is complete darkness and silence in the media about this problem … the governments ignore this completely, and there is no political or media pressure on politics to do anything about this.

Big Pharma’s influence in shaping the U.S. medical model
With 70 percent of Americans taking at least one prescription drug daily, our country addresses the symptoms instead of the causes. Learn pharma’s role/roll (as in bankroll) in this flawed medical model.

Video: What are the consequences of “losing religion?”
The percentage of Americans who claim to have no religious affiliation is now around 21 percent, according to a 2022 Gallup survey. In 1950, it was under 4 percent.
An interview (30 min.) with the producers of new documentary, Irreligious Nation, says the country is quietly losing one of its core foundations for social harmony.
Then (my dear editor, Greta, now mounting the soapbox) maybe there are those of us who would say they are happily in the corner/spotlight/having lost our religion, experiencing more harmony, empathy, communion, and contentment than ever.

Who is Bill Gates?
If you haven’t yet peeked your head down the Bill Gates rabbit hole, this 3-part documentary series is a great place to start. My 13-year-old, Charlie, gives it this accolade: “It was great.” More profuse viewer comments on YouTube include,
James Corbett… one of the best investigative journalists on the face of the Earth (in a tiny elite of Real and Actual Investigative Journalists). Your productions and research are World Class.
After a while of watching this started feeling like watching a fictional movie about the world getting brainwashed and controlled by evil corporations/government/media.
As people laughed at Rockefeller handing out dimes, today I laugh at Gates. History doesn't repeat itself, but it often rhymes. Mark Twain
Corbett is an investigative journalist. All his documentaries are fantastic. Ignore Netflix for a bit and watch them here!

Doesn’t America deserve better than a Trump-Biden rematch?
Of course we do, but the Deep State’s not listening.
A record 49 percent of Americans see themselves as politically independent — the same as the two major parties put together.
While strong candidates are on both sides, you gotta wade through that media swamp to find them. Hecklers won’t be endorsing anyone (we can’t — we’re a 501c3) but we find this Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. kick-off speech pretty spot on in mission: “to end the corrupt merger of state and corporate power that is threatening now to impose a new kind of corporate feudalism on our country.” Kennedy’s hat is in the ring as a Dem. Here is the current list of Republicans in 2024.
